It has occurred to me that the exciting trend of PhilanthropicTeam Building Activities makes perfect philosophical sense. Since team building helps people connect and work together, develop cooperative skills and achieve a more productive and satisfying use of time and energy, the same concept is simply expanded with Philanthropy.
When teams work (and play) together, they help each other and their company in turn. If the team building exercise is a Philanthropic one (somehow aids those in need, a charity, etc), the help goes out to others beyond the company. This can be immensely satisfying, because the great work teams do can then impact the world around them in an even more meaningful way. I describe Philanthropic Team Building as a win-win-win situation. (probably could add a few more wins if it is done right)
